I am Prof. M. Vivekanandan, retired from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli as a biotechnology specialist. I served on the Syndicate and I was also in-charge Vice-Chancellor just prior to my retirement. I was also the First Tamilnadu Scientist to win the Award in 1996 . I have visited all scientifically advanced countries such as USA, Canada, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and UAE.. I have produced 45 Ph.Ds. Why I am mentioning all these is that I was your Alumni in 1962 as an SSLC candidate. In fact, I learnt the art of English only in our school when it was housed inside the Arni Fort. So many years have rolled on since my schooling. For what I am today, I totally attribute to my schooling in SSHr Sec School at Arni. I have not forgotten my teachers. They are still there before my eyes and at heart. As a matter of fact, I would like to make a visit to our school, although so many changes might have taken place, I am just touching 70' , a pretty old man indeed I have very great respect honour, love and affection for my Almmater, which should grow ceaselessly as age can never wither her. This is Karthikeyan R. I studied my 6th standard to 10th standard- (1967). With me Palani. kannan, Raghavan, Sharmila, Hema,Maghalingam and I cont remember some their names but remember their faces. Mr. Govindaraj was our PE. He used to come for our moral class and I will never forget what he thought for me Still I follow his words. Those are my Golden days.
